How do we testify for the Glory of God? Does our testimony bring hope and faith to those who are hopeless and faithless?
Ecclesiastes 5:2 instructs us to choose and speak words carefully before God. Hosea 14:2 teaches us how the words of our lips are acceptable offering to our Lord. We need to tame our tongue before talking to God.
Why should we choose our words? Jesus said, “the words that I speak to you are spirit and are life.” We are born again, born after the second Adam – Jesus! Therefore, we follow His pattern when we approach God the Father. Whereas, the children of the world who are under satan, speak words that are spirit and death. Unless we choose to change our words today, our life will not change.
Everything, we do is either out of faith or out of fear. Hebrews 11:3 says that by faith we understand that the universe was framed by the word of God. His kingdom rules over all. We need to humble ourselves and submit to the Word of God. God gives rhema (revelation) through the Word (logos) that we hear, and these Rhema words come out of our mouths to destroy works of darkness. Satan is afraid of this revelation knowledge. Jesus spoke the word of life into dead Lazarus and he came out alive. Daniel was the only Israelite at that time, who had knowledge of the scriptures and he spoke the words that were heard in Heaven and Angel Gabriel came with the answer.
Believers are already justified by faith. We know Christ in His Word and therefore function like Him. With the mind of Christ and clothed with right words, we exercise (act) in the authority and power of Jesus over our enemy who is already defeated!
Therefore, we need to walk in the revelation knowledge, speaking the Word and expecting the desired result!
