The word of God is a mirror that shows us who we are, whom we belong to, our authority and power as believers. Being born of the seed of God, we are without sin. Natural man born from Adam carries the seed of Satan (serpent).
When Adam sinned, his spirit was cut off from God; his soul became rebellious, and his body began to corrupt. Satan used Adam’s mouth to bring destruction on the earth. This sin brought corruption to the body, destroyed the soul, and caused death to the spirit.
What was *God’s solution* to the sin of man? To *crucify the sin, flesh, and death.*
Jesus went on the cross to save us and transform us into a new man. Jesus first crucified His soul in the garden of Gethsemane where He sweat in blood; then His body on the cross and lastly, His spirit was released through the final breath!
As you are being saved, your spirit becomes God Conscious, but your soul is still self conscious, and your body is still world conscious. The trees planted by serpents (in the old nature), must be permanently uprooted along with their seeds (eggs). Until we crucify that old man, we cannot renew our new man. If we have not encountered Jesus as a person face to face, then we are still a religious person. You cannot have eternal life without destroying the old man (seed of sin).
Your soul is reconciled to God, after being born again. But you must work the “finished work of Christ” by renewing the spirit of mind. You reject Satan by crucifying your flesh daily and living in the Word of God.
