In this video: Watch as Pastor Alfred teaches on how to examine yourself on your walk with the Lord.
Sermon Summary:
Are we born again Christians? If yes, then who are our acquaintances? Who do we fellowship with? Who are our friends? Do we still go back to our old ways, or we have now renewed ourselves? Do our friends see change in us or still see the same old person? Why are we not praying for healing, miracles for others? Are we missionary Christians? If Jesus is our redeemer, then we should ask ourselves these questions.
We read about Peter and John healing the lame man only after their true encounter with Jesus after His resurrection. Similarly, when we become true representatives of Christ, our fruits will show on the outside! We need to clearly communicate to unbelievers that they are lost and they will go to hell without Jesus!
Satan does not mind giving us the worldly kingdom such as houses, money, cars etc… but he is after our soul. Many celebrities, politicians, athletes have given their souls to satan in the deception of becoming famous in this world.
Jesus instructs us in Mark 4:24-25 to take heed to His Word. The one who wins souls, to him more power will be given to increase the kingdom of God. Those souls that will be with us in heaven will be the ones with whom we have shared the word here on earth! Our life is empty if no one believes our words. Our love of Christ must be demonstrated in action, as Jesus did by dying on the cross for us. We believed that salvation is in Jesus and our corresponding action was our trust which then develops into patience.
In Matt 10:8, Jesus commands us, Christians, to heal the sick because we are the light of the world. We do not allow layers of religion, rituals, traditions… to obstruct our light from shining. Hence, we’re instructed to examine ourselves! By our words, the unbelievers will know Jesus and be saved. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. You are a preacher of Gospel first!
Therefore, we must decide and discipline to follow that decision. Word of God is a seed that we sow to produce fruits after its own kind. So then, where do we sow the seed? Where is the ground? The ground is the atmosphere. How do we sow a natural seed? we first manipulate (till) or prepare the soil. How do we sow the seed of the Word? By worship, speaking in tongues, we create the spiritual atmosphere. Then release the Word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit, which the ministering angels pick up to perform!
