In this video: Watch as Pastor Alfred teaches on who the Holy Spirit is!
Sermon Summary:
Everything that we do, we do in Faith. Faith gives us spiritual eyes, ears, and words. Faith is a substance that flows through our heart (inner man). How do we know we have faith? The word of God says everyone is given a measure of faith. We all have faith for our own trials and challenges. What dominates faith? Fear of death dominates faith. Therefore, Jesus took the fear of death away when He resurrected. At the cross, the work is finished but at Resurrection the Victory was won. There are two kinds of Faith: natural (senses) and supernatural.
Supernatural Faith is a trust expressed in the person of the Word. It is the hope supported by the evidence of the written words. This Faith overwrites the senses and sense knowledge and creates the unseen, unheard and unknown in the physical realm.
We learn to conduct in the Word of God (Jesus). Holy Spirit helps to bring the Word to us. He is the mediator; He is a translator (makes us understand the language of the Lord). When you are baptized in the Holy spirit, you’re not visible but Him; because you’re hidden in Christ or you’re conformed to His image. When we accepted Jesus Christ, we received the person of Holy Spirit. Baptism of Holy Spirit is the process of immersing in the Holy Spirit by the way of communion with Him. Therefore, unlike the Old Testament saints which were occasionally moved by God’s Will through Holy Spirit, we the New Testament saints, have become the *Will* of God by our obedience to Christ!
Jesus being the High Priest over our confession, brings manifestation of our spoken words through the power of the Holy Spirit in us just like He performed in His earthly ministry! Hence, it is important to carry the Holy Spirit in us to hear the Word of God: Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The written Word and trust in the person of Word is our foundation. We believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit through our newborn spirit person and not by our physical senses. *Faith* is like the *fishing hook* that keeps the fish on it while it is still inside the water, supported by the *Thread* ( *Understanding* ) on the fishing rod. Hence, when you get/hear the Word, *Act* !!!
