The inner man resides in you and your strength and power comes from him.There is more power in your tongue than what world has ever seen through energy or atomic/nuclear bomb. The inner man has a mind of its own. In Romans 8:6 There’s a mind of the spirit and a mind of the flesh; carnally minded is death and spiritually minded is life and peace.
As stated in Philippians 2:5, we have to let (allow) mind of Christ Jesus be in us. If your mind is not renewed then the words you speak with will be against the word of God. To be spiritually minded is to be scripture minded; the word of God dominating your thinking and mind.
The examples of inner man in the bible shows us the carnal mind of Esau (who forsook his birthright in exchange of physical food) and the spiritual mind of Jesus (who refused satan’s offer of worldy kingdom). Jesus refused because i) He had Love of the Father, ii) He didn’t lust after the world and iii) the world is passing away or is temporary.
We see, hear and connect with God through our inner man (communication box) in His Word. Therefore we are expected to be scripturally minded like Jesus! We can change things with this mind of the inner man.
