We read the bible to live our life, know our rights & privileges, and know how to conduct ourselves as heavenly citizens here on this earth. Our response to trials, tribulations or sicknesses represents the level of our fellowship with the Word of God. What do others see/know about you? Why are you in church? Are you here for religious activity? What will be your “Acts” that will be written in history?
Year 2023 is the year of Glory! Where will this glory come from? Glory is the influence of the Kingdom of God that is transmitted through the transformed, renewed believers who think and speak like Jesus. We witness two kingdoms here on the earth. i) Kingdom of darkness or Religion that operates through fear, competition, comparison, rituals, activities, and membership. ii) Kingdom of Heaven offers citizenship through acceptance of salvation, functions by the laws governed by King of kings, empowers with heavenly language, and confers its citizens with rights & privileges.
Unlike religious leaders who are now dead and gone without a promise of eternity, Jesus Christ came to us to give eternal life and restore the dominion lost by Adam. He brought the kingdom of Heaven and taught us how to subdue & rule this earth. We have been transformed from religious mindset to kingdom mentality. Now we pray as Jesus instructed, as priests (over our community) before our Heavenly Father and as decree of kings over the earth.
As citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, we have been trusted with power and authority to win territories (souls) that are held by the opposing kingdom or kingdom of darkness. We remain victorious through the knowledge and fellowship with the Word. The Holy Spirit is given to us as our Advocate with God, the Father, and to help fulfill our assignment here on earth. A decision to intentionally follow Jesus makes us operate in the manner He did…signs and wonders, casting out demons, healing, delivering… Therefore, harkening to the voice of the Holy Spirit (our Governor) is necessary for us to fulfill the Will of God!
